William Shatner Making ‘Trek’ to Ticonderoga for Cosmic Celebration
A couple of major Star Trek milestones will be reached in 2021 and to honor it, a cosmic celebration been planned for later this Summer in Ft. Ticonderoga. The event hopes to boldly take Star Trek fans to a place they have never gone before promising two days of tours, autographs, photo-ops, dinners, and other events that are sure to leave Trekkies tickled.
Throughout the years, Ticonderoga has become a Star Trek paradise of sorts for legions of "Trekkies" throughout the Capital Region and beyond. It all started, according to the Times Union, 25 years ago when James Cawley and his grandfather decided to "rebuild" some of the incredible Star Trek sets for super fans to enjoy.
Cawley is the creator of Star Trek: Original Series Set Tour and he's announced the details of a Star Trek celebration for the ages July 23rd-24th complete with a visit from William Shatner himself. The weekend will celebrate two big milestones; 55 years of Star Trek glory and mark the 90th birthday for Captain James T. Kirk himself and yes, William Shatner will be among the many guests in attendance.

Join us to celebrate William Shatner’s 90th birthday!!! On July 23, 2021 Mr. Shatner will be visiting the amazing Star Trek Tour set recreation. At this time all events still fall under Covid restrictions. Masks, smaller groups, and distancing will be strictly enforced.
According to the website, there are different packages that fans may purchase that range in price. The highest priced level includes tickets for the 90th birthday dinner celebration, a tour with Mr. Shatner, a photo an autograph and more.
