I love my husband dearly, and while we agree on a lot of things, thankfully politics is one of them, we also disagree on a lot of things.  I'm not sure, though, that our marriage could withstand this!

A husband and wife in Maine ran against each other for an election warden position!  And, she beat him!  By a lot!

David and Jennifer Johnson of Waterville, Maine both wanted to be the election warden. The warden organizes and supervises local polling places on election days, and counts ballots - all while not being paid!  He's a Republican, she's a Democrat!

Jennifer volunteered to run, while David was nominated to run by the city's Republican committee.

The Johnsons have been married for about 10 years, and they have three kids.  And, from what I understand, their marriage has made it through the election!  It must not have been a vicious battle!  I wonder if the kids took sides!
