WGNA's own Kevin Richards has been nominated as a Radio Personality of the Year by the Academy of Country Music (ACM)!

Kevin has been on the air on WGNA for the past 19 years. He's no stranger to being honored by country music's biggest organizations though. Kevin has been nominated six times in national categories for the Country Music Awards, and even won a CMA award in 2006!

Kevin was both excited and proud to hear of his most recent accolade.

“It’s an honor to be considered one of the top radio personalities in the nation. I am truly passionate about country music- classic and new! Every day I’m honored to showcase new stars, share stories behind the songs, and keep people updated on what their favorite entertainers are doing on-air and online," he said. "I’m even more fortunate to host the Classic Country Hall of Fame Show every Sunday morning to honor the greats that helped create what our genre is today and salute the legends who are still making new music.”

“It’s a huge compliment that I do not take for granted," he continued. "I am thankful once again that the industry has reminded me that I am a part of the country music community and I’m very proud to do my part representing country music in the northeast and beyond.”

The ACM Awards will be held April 6 in Las Vegas hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan on CBS.

Leave your best wishes for Kevin and his nomination in the comments.
