This was my return trip to Watervliet Elementary School.  This time it was to celebrate a day for ALL teachers.  It's Teacher Appreciation Week!

Mrs Grill and Mrs Martin are both great examples of fantastic Capital Region educators. Their group of 4th graders were eager to start writing and singing. I love it when it's not akin to pulling teeth to get some ideas going.

They even came up with their own tune for this, which is extremely creative on their part.

Check this out!

Here are the lyrics to their brilliant creation ( and they did it in about an hour!)

We appreciate our teachers - school's really fun

We get a lot of work and we always get it done

Our teachers always help us if we're stuck

On really hard tests they give us good luck

We're from Watervliet, and our teachers are neat

      It's National Teachers Week

You may think that teachers work 6 hours a day

But when we go home, they all have to stay

There's Ms Martin and Mrs. Grill

They work very hard and they always will

We're from Watervliet, and our teachers are neat

      It's National Teachers Week
