Was this the Most Crushing Weekend Ever for NFL Fans in NY? (PICS)
What a crazy ride it's been for NFL fans in New York already, and we only wrapped up week number 1!
Giant Fans
I can't remember a time when all three teams, the Bills, Jets, and Giants, came into a season with higher expectations. Unfortunately for Giant fans, their team barely even showed up on Sunday night as the G Men were thumped against the Cowboys early, and often, and many fans headed for the exits before halftime in a game they would ultimately lose 40 zip.
Jets Fans
For fans of the Jets and Bills, anticipation and excitement about the new season were sky-high, but Jet fans were left speechless when off-season acquisition Aaron Rodgers left the game after just 3 plays with an apparent Achilles injury.
Playing with a backup quarterback against Josh Allen and a vaunted Bills offense, the Jets D turned Allen over 4 times en route to a 22-16 overtime victory that left Jet fans thrilled about the win, but cautiously optimistic about the remainder of the season without their Hall of Fame QB.
Bills Fans
The OT loss to a division rival with a backup QB surely stings, but worse, for Bills fans, their superhero, Josh Allen, looked average. Actually, he looked worse than average - throwing three picks and fumbling late in the game which led to a Jets game-tying score.
So here we are on Tuesday morning and fans of all three teams are scratching their heads attempting to wrap their head around what went down in a wild opening weekend of NFL games at Met Life Stadium.
