Winning $50K Powerball Ticket Sold At Upstate New York Gas Station
Upstate New York and the Capital Region have been cashing in with various games from the New York Lottery. There have been scratch-off jackpot winners, Mega Millions winners, and many Powerball winners. We have to add one more to the Powerball winners in our area.
The Saturday, January 31st, Powerball drawing was worth $58,900,000. No one won the top prize, but one winner in Warren County cashed in on third prize. The numbers for the drawing were 02, 08, 14, 40, 63, and the Powerball was 23.
A third-prize winner worth $50,000 was sold in Warren County at the Star Fuel gas station at 658 Upper Glen Street in Queensbury. It is worth fifty thousand dollars because the ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball number. The odds of doing that are 1 in 913,129.
The winning numbers for each Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball number is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.
Powerball drawings are every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. The jackpot for Monday’s drawing is estimated at $65 million.
Another lucky Warren County resident is cashing in on a five-dollar scratch-off ticket that he purchased at the Queensbury Walmart Superstore. He is now an instant millionaire. He purchased the More Money $5 scratch-off and won the top prize of $1,000,000. He chose to take the lump sum.
