Are you the type of person that cracks their neck every so often for relief? Before you keep doing it, take what happened to this guy as a warning!

A 28-year-old father of two is currently recovering after having a stoke after doing something most people don't think twice about - cracking their neck. News10 reported that Josh Hader popped his neck and all of a sudden he felt his left side go numb.

At first, Hader just thought he needed an ice pack and to walk it off but it was much more than that. That's when he couldn't walk straight. His father-in-law, luckily, rushed him to the emergency room where nurses and doctors surrounded him. Hader ended up tearing "his vertebral artery, a crucial vessel leading to the brain."

Luckily, his stroke wasn't as bad as most in his case are but it still was significant. He needed to use a walker and eyepatch for a few days. It also led to him having hiccups that led to panic attacks.

The doctor said about popping your neck, “If you want to pop your neck, just kind of pop it side to side. Don't twist it...Whenever you twist it, there's a risk of tearing that vessel. Say my hand is his head, I suspect he just turned it real sharp and up, sharp and up and back. That's what really pinched it.”
