Valley Cats’ Games Benefit Hurricane Harvey Victims
The Tri City Valley Cats are the minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros. When Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and southeast Texas, they wanted to do their part to help. There are four current players on the Valley Cats that have ties to southeast Texas, which has been hit the hardest by Hurricane Harvey. Pitcher Corbin Martin has family in Houston, outfielder Corey Jukis played college baseball at the University of Houston and is from Friendswood with family and friends still there. There are two other pitchers that hail from the state of Texas too.
Tonight (Thursday August 31st), tomorrow night (Friday September 1st) and Saturday September 2nd, $1 from every ticket sold to the Tri City Valley Cats' home games will be donated directly to the American Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
It is always a fun time for the whole family at a Valley Cats' game. So pack the family in the car and head to Troy for their home stand and help raise money for a great cause.
