Various weather bulletins are in effect through the week with snow on the way across Upstate New York.

After a brief winter warm-up last weekend, more winter weather is moving in across the Empire State through the week.

National Weather Service Issues Several Weather Bulletins

Various levels of wind and snowfall will affect Upstate New York in the days ahead, and the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued several weather bulletins across the region.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Hamilton, Herkimer, and Hamilton Counties, along with areas further west, from 7 pm this evening (Tuesday, January 28) through Wednesday afternoon. Heavy snow is expected to affect the evening and morning commutes in these areas with 6 to 11 inches of accumulation.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the greater Capital Region and western Massachusetts through Monday with scattered snow showers and localized snow squalls expected Wednesday. Forecasters are also watching more potential snow tracking towards the area Friday and Friday night.

Snowfall totals will vary from as little as an inch to 11 inches across Upstate New York through the end of the week.
