I am very excited about Twill, I think it’s a company that is doing great things in the Capital Region.

Zachary Halloran of Albany is the founder and CEO of Twill, a company he started to give back to his community.  Halloran sold his car to start Twill and works out of his basement researching the needs of local charities and finding ways to help them.

Twill’s latest idea to give back allowed him to partner with the SUNY Albany Allumni Association to create & deliver limited edition UAlbany beanies (pictured Left).  The Beanies will be delivered to Koinonia Primary Care, Inc., located in Albany’s West Hill neighborhood. The health clinic was founded by UAlbany alum Dr. Bob Paeglow in 2001 and serves patients without health insurance.

The giving doesn’t stop there.  These one of a kind beanies are available for you to buy too!  The $30 beanie presale has already started and runs through February 28th.  Delivery will be in March.  A portion of every Beanie purchase will benefit locally-based non-profits Jammin’ for JP and the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.  I know these are charities that are close to the hearts of many here in the Capital Region, so spread the word.  There is a limited amount, so order soon.

When you check out Twill, you will see the many ways it partners with great businesses like Mohawk Honda, The Desmond and more to give back.  There are beanies buy one donate one and you pick the charity.  I think this is an awesome idea.

Spread the word and buy a beanie, it’s for a good cause!
