Thomas Rhett Shares Hank Williams Jr. Story

Backstage at the 2014 Taste of Country Music Festival we had a chance to visit with Thomas Rhett.

Rhett was on stage just a few hours before American Music Icon Hank Williams, Jr.. The 'It Goes Like This' singer was thrilled to be opening up for the legend who actually taught him how to Dove hunt. Rhett says, "When I was about 9 years old- cause him and my dad (Rhett Akins) were really close- we went out to Hank's farm one day and shot dove all day, and he taught me how to shoot a dove, honestly, and then clean it up good."

While many fans were waiting to hear Hank's signature songs like 'Family Tradition' and 'All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,' Akins admits his favorite Hank Williams Jr. song is 'Old Habits.'
