The New York Yankees are priming themselves for a deep playoff run in 2022, with the ultimate goal of winning the World Series, and bringing trophy No. 28 back to The Bronx.

When the calendar jumped to September, each Major League team was allowed to expand their rosters. As such, New York added such younger players as Oswald Peraza to their roster, and welcomed trade acquisitions like Scott Effross, Frankie Montas and more.

That said, when September becomes October, and the 2022 MLB Playoffs commence, the Yankees will have to trim their roster back down to 26 players, with a maximum of 13 pitchers joining the depth chart. The question now becomes: who makes the cut?
