The Ruck Set To Open 2nd Capital Region Location

Get ready for a Capital Region icon to 'get squared.'

The Ruck in Troy, which has long been a Capital Region favorite for gabbing a beer and sim pub grub, is getting ready to open its second Capital Region location!

According to a Times Union report, The Ruck will open another location in Schenectady this June at the former Unbeetable eatery at 148 Clinton Street. Owner Dave Gardell told the TU the new bar will be called The Ruck 2 and will be about twice the size of the current Ruck location.

The Ruck has always been one of my standbys in Troy, especially when going to shows at the Troy Music Hall: it is always a stellar pre or post-show destination for eats and drinks. This new location will be right around the corner from Proctor's, so I imagine this will be a similar destination for shows in downtown Schenectady.
