The former Hooters location on Wolf Road in Colonie could be repurposed into a veterinary hospital.

According to a report from Albany Business Review (ABR), the building that Hooters used to call home on Wolf Road has been purchased by a veterinary hospital chain. A representative for Veterinary Emergency Group confirmed the purchase with ABR. While the group runs 130 veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada, including 9 downstate, no official plans for the Hooters location have been revealed yet.

According to the Times Union, the Wolf Road Hooters closed this past summer as part of a financial restructuring and at the time was the last remaining Hooters restaurant in New York State.

The local Hooters restaurant is one of many national chains that have been affected by restructuring plans over the past few years.
