Well the big news hitting the internet today is that Warner Brothers has announced that there will indeed be a "Justice League" movie made and it could be hitting theaters in 2018.  (some rumors have the movie actually coming out in 2017) The movie will be directed by Zack Snyder who is currently directing the sequel to "Man of Steel". According to "Forbes" contributor, Mark Hughes, "Official confirmation of the project came from Greg Silverman, Warner Bros. Pictures president of creative development and worldwide production."

It would seem that Warner Brothers,  being a little behind Marvel with the full length  movies to highlight each of "The Avengers", Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Hulk, will be doing many of the "Justice League" character introductions in the upcoming "Superman, Man of Steel" sequel which we now publicly are referring to as, "Superman vs. Batman". This movie set to release next year will also include Wonder Woman and Cyborg.

Who does that leave, well I don't know, you could argue a lot of different "Justice League" incarnations. According to Wikipedia,  "The Justice League originally featured Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter. The team roster has been rotated throughout the years with characters such as Green Arrow, Captain Atom, Captain Marvel, Black Canary, the Atom, Hawkman, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, Firestorm, Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, Vixen and dozens of others."

I would agree with the original incarnation but it does make one wonder if they are already planning on using Cyborg, is that in replacement of The Martian Manhunter?  Or do the rumors that Dwayne Johnson would be cast in the movie mean that he might indeed be The Martian Manhunter. I have also heard it rumored that Matt Damon could be Aquaman but that is far from confirmed. Let the speculations begin.

Honestly , it all sounds exciting and I can't wait to see how they handle the script and casting. I just hope that at no point during the "Justice League" movie do we ever hear, "Wondertwin powers, activate!"
