Hmmmmm... I'm not sure about this one.

I mean, we all know that whether or not someone swipes right on you on Tinder usually comes down to a matter of SECONDS.  So you have to make your picture really stand out.

A new study out of Princeton University found the best pose for getting dates.  Basically, they found that you need to spread yourself out.

They found that people who had pictures where they held their arms out to the sides or their feet up on a desk and kicked back with their hands behind their head had more success online dating than people who crossed their arms or kept their arms in tight to their sides.

It's not just a little bit of luck, either!  Stretched out folks got almost TWICE as many messages as people who were closed off in their picture!

The theory is, you're kinda like a peacock.  You're trying to exert dominance and signal that you're able and available to potential mates.

"By exerting dominance, they're trying to signal, 'I am able to do things, I have a space, I have access to resources."

So, I did a little digging, and I found this old picture of myself... pretty spread out... but I'm not sure I'd get very many men to swipe right... peacock or no peacock!  Good thing I'm already married!

So, do you think this theory is true? Would you be quicker to swipe right on someone who was spread out in their picture? Let me know in the comment section below!
