In a never-ending attempt to write a theme song for each and every Capital Region town, I present to you the latest request.  A listener asked thru Facebook if I could write a little ditty about Rotterdam, NY.  She also included a few facts to get it started. Hey - we're here to please!

I've always bragged to people about how great the Capital Region is to live and work in.  The traffic here has always been miniscule compared to other areas.  (I was born and raised in the land of the Long Island Expressway - nuff said!)  But things are changing here AND ELSEWHERE.

Well, I've already written about Troy, Watervliet, and Cooperstown.  Learned alot, and had a great time doing it!   Your Town Thursday is on a definite roll!  Time to add one more to the list.  The town is Grafton, NY.  It has a gorgeous state park...

Yes.  It's that time of year.  There are good farmer's markets, and awesome ones.  Well Menands has the meanest market of all!

Spring is here in the Capital Region.  Can you think of a nicer place to be than upstate NY during this time of year?  There's always a ton of things to do around these parts.  But I'm going to add one more to your already overloaded plate-the local Locks comprising of the historic Erie Canal System

We have been on the lookout for the most awesome, "over the top"  school playground in the Capital Region.  And we found one that was so cool that I packed up the keyboard,  drove out there and wrote a song with the kids that explains just how amazing it is!

According to the Times Union, a local teenager now holds the "Guinness Book of World Record" for the longest one-finger spin of a book.

This is not the first blog on this subject, and probably won't be the last.  Actually, I got some of my information from the news department here at WGNA--in other words, Casey Danton!

Number 1 with a bullet!  That's what they used to call a song that's going to the top of the Country charts.  A real toe tapper.Yeeeeeeehawwww!

Former President Bill Clinton is coming to the Capital Region in a few weeks.

This might not be the most complimentary way to say goodbye to our illustrious NY Governor, David Paterson, but I'm doing it anyway...

Don't scream at me yet!   Not trying to take sides politically.  To me it matters not how you vote.  This is just a comment about the  issue in general.
