A month ago, or so I participated in the JDRF Walk for type 1 diabetes in support of my little bff, Grayson. He was diagnosed at just 13 months and has been struggling daily with his levels as he learns the ins and outs of T1D before he can say more than a handful of words.

Maybe it was the lack of caffeine in my system, but I somehow didn't even notice that a car had driven into Bruegger's Bagel Shop! And just so we're clear, I'm not referring to the drive-thru because I don't even think they have one.

It was my first and only choice when deciding where I wanted to go to college. Economically it makes the most sense, their educational programs along with extra curricular activities are above par and staying local was all important to me when starting my next chapter. And now, Hudson Valley Community College has added a program that completely warms my heart.

I've had more than a couple cars. My first car was a '96 Dodge Intrepid and it was cool...at the time. It was sporty, it was a blue-ish color, heck, it was MINE. That was enough to make it cool at 17 years old.

It has to be one of the worst feelings in the world. It probably feels like your world is ending, crumbling. Someone has taken the life of your child. Your baby, no matter their age, taken unnaturally by the hands of another person. Now it's their day in court and your day to face them.
