Joyce Mitchell the key accomplice in the Dannemora Prison escape from 2015 that freed David Sweat and Richard Matt, won't be needing any help from inmates when she leaves prison on Thursday.  It's being reported that the prison worker who snuck tools into Clinton Correctional facility aiding in their escape, is set for early release which is believed to be on Thursday.

It's hard to believe that it was four years ago that the two convicted murderers escaped from the Dannemora prison and a massive manhunt captivated the entire state. Now the woman that helped the two men escaped is getting out of prison on an early release.

Joyce Mitchell will be in front of the parole board once again this week. Will she be granted parole this time?

We were all captivated by the prison escape that was close to our area back in 2015. Now that the mini series movie is complete, the premier will be at a very prestigious film festival.

When the prison break happened at the Clinton County Correctional Facility back in 2015, I was totally immersed in the news. Even now, when anything that has to do with that story comes up, I find myself gathering all the information. Yesterday, one of the people at the center of the story was up for parole.

It was the story everyone was talking about and it was already announced that Ben Stiller was attached but now he wants people from the area to be a part of the upcoming series.

Remember in 2015 when Clinton County Correctional Facility in Dannemora was all anyone could talk about? Recently, we had the brilliant Lifetime movie "New York Prison Break: The Seduction of Joyce Mitchell" and now Showtime picked it up for a miniseries with some pretty big names.

Lifetime was the first to do a made for TV movie of the Dannemora prison break. Now it's Hollywood's turn, well sort of.

It was the story that kept everyone obsessed in 2015, it was the escape that seemed impossible. On June 6th 2015, Richard Matt and David Sweat escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York. It was like a movie, so much so that Lifetime bought the rights.

Joyce Mitchell has been denied parole.

Joyce Mitchell, the woman at the center of the Dammemora prison break, will go before the New York State Parole Board this week. I am sitting here wondering how she could possibly be up for parole. This woman helped two extremely dangerous and violent criminals run amok in our communities. I just wonder if the message we want to send to correctional officers who find themselves in this same situat
