It was a busy schedule in Section II Friday night with 34 games on the schedule for boys basketball and another 29 match ups for the girls. A big shout out to everyone new that has included us in your score distributions this week. We greatly appreciate it.

There are rival schools in Washington County that are merging their football and boys soccer teams. It was the decision of the Whitehall school board to team up and merge with long-time rival Granville. They are tackling an issue that has enrollment dwindling so in order for the sports to continue, they had to get creative.

When I visit a new place, I like to see the different, the unusual, off-the-beaten path type of sights. Even if I'm just going on a day trip not too far away, you'll find me at one of these museums before one of the more common ones.

I'm still getting many more requests to write songs for towns, and it's a thrill to do it.  It's great to learn about towns that are right on our doorsteps.  Here are two requests that keep coming up in conversation - Granvile and Averill Park.  Which will it be?  It's up to you to vote, folks!
