Today (Wednesday, August 19th) begins the New York State Police's statewide enforcement of driving impaired. It's the STOP-DWI the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

Make sure you celebrate St. Patrick's Day weekend safely. The New York State Police will be out in full force to keep you safe right through Wednesday.

There will be a noticeable increase in New York State Police patrols and checkpoints this week for Halloween. It's an effort to curb drunk driving and increase safety for trick-or-treaters.

It's sad that we still have to do these campaigns to make sure that people aren't drinking and driving. But because we do, the hope is that it will save more lives on the roads.

This St. Patrick's Day weekend, make sure you designate a driver because police will be out in full force looking for those who are reckless on the roads

We all know that police hear all kinds of excuses as to why people were caught speeding, texting, in an accident etc.  I think it's probably safe to assume that most of the time, a lousy football team isn't the go-to excuse. But one New York Jet fan told cops that he got drunk and crashed his car because his football team stinks.

Did anyone else notice this story out of Queensbury from News 10 ABC and the Queensbury Post-Star?  First of all, it's bad enough that Nicole King has been accused drinking and driving with her 4 year old in the car.  To make matters worse, she smiled for her mugshot.
