When you hear the innocence of a child talking about what cancer is and how you can help other kids while they fight, there is something very powerful in their words. I sat down with my son, Ryan, and asked him about cancer, St. Jude, and how he thinks we can all help parents worry less and sick kids get better.
We just wrapped up day 1 of GNA's 15th Annual Country Cares for Kids Radiothon, and GNA Nation once again stepped up BIG TIME to fight childhood cancer
Is there anything in your family that has passed through generations? Maybe it's a piece of jewelry, maybe it's a story, for my family, it's being a St. Jude Partner in Hope.
Every dollar makes a difference. St. Jude Children's Hospital is an amazing place where families of children with cancer know that their child is getting the best care possible. You can help by becoming a Partner in Hope and donating just $20 each month.
There is something amazing about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Not only do the doctors do whatever it takes to try and cure these kids battling cancer, but it is a place full of hope and promise. Inside the hospital, there is a wall that illustrates the "ABCs of Cancer".
You will hear this phone number a lot over the next 2 days: 1-800-372-4999. That's the number for the Northeast Pest Control Phone Bank where you can become a Partner in Hope.
Wow. That's the only way to sum up our feelings as the phone call came into the GNA studio this morning just before noon. Alabama lead singer Randy Owen, who also happens to be the man at the forefront of the 'Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon' shocked Brian and Chrissy with an unexpected phone call to thank YOU, the generous GNA listeners who make this radiothon such a success.
With all
You may not be using St. Jude Children's Research Hospital now, but imagine that young child in your life needs it. Won't you be happy to know it's there? That's how I feel about my little cousin.
