The ABCs of Cancer – A Child’s Perspective [PIC]
There is something amazing about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Not only do the doctors do whatever it takes to try and cure these kids battling cancer, but it is a place full of hope and promise. Inside the hospital, there is a wall that illustrates the "ABCs of Cancer". It is a wall of letters with each one representing a child's perspective about what cancer and their fight mean to them. They are beautifully illustrated in their very own words and feelings about how they are fighting and coping.
When reading through each letter and the pictures drawn, you can't help but notice the powerful words in the kid's handwriting and artwork. It is a brutally honest depiction of what they are going through.
At St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, no family ever receives a bill for travel, treatment, food or lodging. Donations from our 15th Annual Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon go directly to St. Jude so that they can continue to focus on curing childhood cancer. Please become a Partner In Hope. Your $20 donation per month (on your credit card) helps continue the fight. You will also receive a "This Shirt Saves Lives" t-shirt and tickets to our 2020 Heartstrings For Hope concert with Devin Dawson.
