New York is gearing up for a week celebrating bars and bartenders, and the Capital Region's invited.

In order to stay busy during the coronavirus lockdown, my mom has become quite the bartender. She is mixing up different drinks and showing you how to make them. It all started as a paint and sip without painting and now she has made over a dozen drinks.

My mom, Nancy, is a talented painter and she has hosted paint and sip parties in the past. But with the social distancing and the lockdown, my mom figured she would just do the sip. This time she is making a couple of versions of the Bloody Mary.

My mom is seventy-four years old and is trying her best to heed the warnings and stay home. She does get out in the yard and go for walks but she is pretty bored. The other morning, she decided to do a paint and sip video. She left out the paint part.

I never really thought there was a wrong way to pour my beer. As long as the beer makes it into the glass, that's it, right? Apparently not!

A bar manager is reaching out to the public for help in finding two patrons who robbed a local bar. They waited until the bartender took a bathroom break and moved in.
