Merriam Webster has a few definitions of partner: One that sharesOne associated with another especially in an action. One of two or more persons who play together in a game against an opposing side.

If you donated today, you did all 3. You shared, you associated yourself with kids fighting for  their lives and your fighting the opponent, cancer, with them
