Potential “Impactful” Snow Storm For Upstate NY Early Next Week
This weekend it will be feeling more like early April than February, but the weather will make a quick flip early next week.
According to News Channel 13, or February warm-up will continue through the end of the week with temperatures near 50 on Friday with a late-day isolated shower, then Saturday we hit the low 50s with a chance of some showers later in the day. But don't start digging out your spring wardrobe just yet.
Forecasters Tracking Northeast Storm Early Next Week
This winter has once again been notable for its below-average snowfall and what has felt like a fair amount of rain at times. While we got some snow in January, it was quickly followed up by milder temperatures and rain to wash it all away. After our mild weather this week, get ready for another weather 180!
According to Accuweather, temperatures will start cooling back down Sunday and Monday. Tuesday could potentially bring an "impactful storm." Accuweather says two scenarios could develop with this storm: one with Noreaster-like conditions for northeastern states and heavy snow for Upstate New York and the other with more spotty precipitation for the region. Accuweather sats our current snowfall probability for Upstate New York is 60 to 80 percent.
Either way, it looks like colder temperatures and more wet weather are coming our way this week. So keep the spring wardrobe stored for now!
