Snow, 50 Shades of Grey and More: Digital Debbie’s Web Watch [Feb 8th]

TGIF people! It’s Friday, in case you somehow lost track of time and forgot that it is the best day of the week.   I’m home with the kids today, but don’t think that means I’m not surfin’ the web and finding links to share with you.   Here’s what I’ve got for you today:

Everybody is talking about the snow! SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!  WGNA would love to see the pictures of snow in your area, so when it starts – get your cameras and cell phones out and take some pictures to share with everyone.    You can Tweet or Instagram the photos using #518storm.  I don’t know why, but we are all very fascinated by this storm – so if you send your kids out to shovel and they disappear under all the snow- take a picture and share it.

Chase Crawford from the WB’s Gossip Girl is planning to take on the role of Christian Grey – in the 50 Shades of Grey movie.  I’m thinking it’s not going to be quite as good as the books, because Chase was quoted as saying:  “I don’t even know what the character is like; I haven’t read anything or heard anything about it!”  Sounds like the makings of a good movie, right there!

I’ve got a Cat Fight Alert here!  It seems Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are not exactly the best of friends.  Some people think it might be that Taylor didn’t appreciate the “never ever ever getting back together” jokes Carrie and Brad Paisley made at the CMA Awards.  And, apparently someone told US Weekly that Grammy executives were told to make sure Carrie and Taylor did not come into contact with each other during the Grammys because they “hate each other”.  DRAMA!
