President Reagan was very well respected.  General Electric was always indebted to him for all the successful shows that he did that were sponsored by them.  So GE built him a high tech house in 1957, and someone just bought it recently.  Check this out

According to my source at TopTenRealEstateDeals.com , an architect named William R Stephenson designed this specifically for GE, but of course Ronnie must have had a say.

It was very ahead of it's time for 1957.  According to the article, it was one of the first all electric homes, with a fancy dancy new device called a "garbage disposal" (woo-hoo!) and

a dining room would turn into a projection room by sliding a painting to one side, and as Nancy Reagan said during an interview with Architectural Digest back then, “I can't tell you how many refrigerators, ovens and fancy lights GE gave us.”

Not only did the house sell just this year, but for $212,000 over list price.

If you'd like to see other houses, this is a fascinating website.  I will be featuring some more from time to time.  Congrats to the new owner of this house.  The Gipper would be happy right now.
