Reliving 90’s Nickelodeon Double Dare [VIDEO]

You may have heard a few months ago that Double Dare Live was coming to Proctors in Schenectady. Well, it was this weekend and it was everything I hoped it to be.

Do you remember 1990s and early 2000s Nickelodeon? The days of Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, and, of course, Double Dare? Those were some of my favorite childhood memories, so much so, that when anyone brings them up in conversation I get that childhood glow again, bringing me back to 13-years-old.

Over the weekend, Marc Summers (the original host of Double Dare & announcer of the current reboot) made a stop in Schenectady to host "Double Dare Live." There was Gak and mess and audience participation - it was everything I hoped it to be! Though I didn't get selected to go on stage, I did have a chance to meet Marc Summers ahead of time and hear about his radio experience. Plus, they did an actual live version of the game show, obstacle course and all! So, if you're a 90s Nickelodeon kid and didn't get a chance to see Double Dare Live over the weekend, take a look at what you missed!
