People Getting A Real Christmas Tree

This generally will happen if you cut your own. It’s not a major problem, but something to be aware of.

I saw the story on CBS6 Albany. A lot has to do with the warmer weather that we’ve had this season. These are deer ticks, and they like to stay on a tree about the average height of a deer. When you brush the tree as you walk by, the tick may actually brush off on you.

The best thing to do is to is to always check for the little critters. It’s also a good idea to shake the tree a little bit. I’m not trying to discourage anyone from getting a real tree, but this is just one of those things that you should be aware of.

I'd like to thank one of our listeners, Thea Wendeborn-Bove for suggesting that I should share the information with you.

I’m not sure if this will affect my poll that I posted about a real of artificial tree. If you get a real tree, have you ever had anything in the tree when you got it home? I have to admit, that when I hear about ticks, I think of Brad Paisley's song, "Ticks."
