It's the inaugural rubber duck derby in support of autism awareness coming up this October and it's sure to be one heck of a sight!Imagine thousands of yellow rubber duckies floating down the Mohawk River. Not only that, but thousands of people following along and cheering them on.

It will be happening right here in the Capital Region on Oct. 8 between Freedom Park and Jumpin' Jacks to support autism awareness. Assemblyman Antonia Santabarbara has teamed up with the Autism Society of the Capital Region for the event which will use the rubber duck because it has been his sons favorite toy since the age of 3.

Each rubber duck will cost $5 with prizes for the first and last to cross the finish line. To purchase your ducks and for full details, please visit The FirstGiving website.
