The pumpkins served their purpose this season for Halloween and fall decorations, but what can you do with them now? Here's a fun way to get rid of your gourds.

Pumpkin Chunkin' is back in Lake George, bringing fall festivities to life. Hosted by Adirondack Pub & Brewery, this event will transform the area behind High Peaks Distilling at 1 Canada St. into a medieval-inspired village filled with fun for everyone. Admission is free, and it’s happening rain or shine.

According to Lakegeorge.com, this festival offers a unique experience that’s perfect for all ages. Picture this: a medieval village setup complete with a blacksmith forge, live battle demonstrations, and craft vendors.

Besides catapulting pumpkins, there’s plenty more to enjoy, like a fairy storyteller, medieval battle demos, dancing witches, a fire dancer, music, carnival rides, and the spectacular Great Pumpkin Drop!

Check out the Potions Bar, where you can try drinkable “potions”—non-alcoholic options for kids and a few with a little extra something for adults.

Since carved pumpkins can’t handle the catapult, people are invited to bring their Halloween jack-o'-lanterns for The Great Pumpkin Drop instead, creating a grand finale for the festival.

Beyond the pumpkin action, the festival includes an apple slingshot, a giant slide, a bounce house, carnival games, food and beer trucks, live music, and more.

Join in the fun on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12 to 4 p.m.
