Popular Local Burger Chain Coming To Albany’s Empire State Plaza

We now know what will be replacing McDonald's at the Empire State Plaza!

It was certainly a surprise in October when we learned that the McDonald's at the Empire State Plaza was closing. It is very rare to see a McDonald's close anywhere, especially at a high-traffic lunch location like the Plaza. In this case, where one burger joint closes, another one opens - and Plaza patrons are going to love this new spot!

Herbie's Burgers To Open 6th Capital Region Location

Herbie's Burgers, the self-described 'old-school burger joint' that currently operates restaurants in Albany (Lark Street), Guilderland, Latham, Troy, and Schenectady will open their 6th location at the Plaza according to a CBS 6 report. There is currently a 'Coming Soon' banner at the new plaza location.

A target date for an opening has not been announced, but back in October Plaza reps said an announcement would be coming soon about the new restaurant.
