Popular Clifton Park Chain Restaurant Closes Its Doors For Good
A Capital Region and Clifton Park staple is shutting down the kitchen and dining room for good.
We always love reporting about new restaurants and businesses opening in the area, and on the flip side, it is a bummer when we have to pass along the news of any of our local businesses closing up shop for good. Today it's the latter as we pass along the news of a Clifton Park favorite closing for good.
99 Restaurant Closes In Clifton Park
The 99 Restaurant in Clifton Park is closed for good, according to an outgoing message on the restaurant's voicemail, and the Clifton Park location is no longer listed on the 99 website. The message gives no reason for the closure and encourages callers to visit the Colonie or Rotterdam locations or the 99 Website. The 99 also has Captial Region locations in Saratoga Springs and Queensbury.
According to comments on a post to the Clifton Park Neighbors Facebook group, the restaurant was closed as of this Monday, June 26th. While it is certainly said this 99 is closing, comments on the Facebook post did say employees were informed of the closing while being offered positions at other local 99 restaurants.
The Clifton Park location was located on Clifton Park Center Road, right next door to where the new Chick-Fil-A will be opening later this summer.
