Being that I'm at least 25% Irish (my Nana is 100%), I feel like it's important to have all of my bases covered today. You've got to eat the right stuff, drink the right drinks, dive right into the green and not look back. So, here is how my St. Patty's Day has been planned out:

  • Setting my alarm to blast the Dropkick Murphy's to wake me up
  • Shower using my brand new Irish Spring
  • Have a hefty bowl of Lucky Charms (and enjoy every little marshmallow I can)
  • Dress in head-to-toe green (or as close to it as possible, depending on the laundry that needs to be done)
  • Wake up with a Monster energy drink (the one in the green can, obviously)
  • Say things on the air like "Top of the Mornin' to ya!" (I will regret this)
  • Force Sean and Bethany to bring me a green bagel breakfast sandwich for lunch
  • Find videos of bagpipers on YouTube and blast them in the studio
  • Look at the "SEEN" pictures from the Albany St. Patrick's Day parade on the Times Union website
  • Look for four leaf clovers in the not-so-green grass by my car
  • Eat a healthy (or not so healthy) portion of corned beef and cabbage for din din
  • Google "How to Find the Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow"
  • Guinness
  • Watch "The Boondock Saints" and remember that Darryl from Walking Dead did things before killing zombies
  • Go to bed with leprechauns bouncing around in my head

I don't know about you, but I think my day sounds perfectly planned. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
