Owner of Popular Albany Pub To Add ‘Lionheart’ Bar To Warehouse District
The owner of an Albany staple has plans to add to Albany's warehouse district.
The way I look it at, we can never have enough great places to gather for a beverage or to break bread. There is just something about some go-to local favorite where you can not only rely on great company, but also a great atmosphere, great brews, and great eats.
Now, the owner of one of Albany's most beloved bars is planning on launching a new venture in the Capital city's exciting bar and restaurant scene in the Warehouse District.
Another Lionheart Is In the Works
The Lionheart Pub and Brewery on Madison Avenue in Albany has been well known for years as a great destination for beer and pub eats. This is why it is really cool that the owner is looking to expand the Lionheart brand with another location.
The Warehouse District has become a bar and restaurant hot spot over the years, and now Lionheart is joining the party. According to Albany Business Review (ABR), "Lionheart On the Green" is being planned for the building at 952 Broadway that used to be the home of a CrossFit gym.
ABR says the new Lionheart will feature an "... indoor/outdoor bar with an industrial aesthetic and garage doors opening onto a large patio." Lionheart owner Jerry Aumand told ABR he is hoping to open the new Lionheart this fall or in the spring of 2023.
Knowing how awesome the current Lionheart is, there is a lot to be excited about when "On the Green" comes to the Warehouse District.
