Old Saratoga Diner To Be Knocked Down
It is one of the more interesting looking buildings in Saratoga, and it will soon be knocked down to make way for an apartment building.
According to the Times Union, the old Saratoga Diner on South Broadway will soon be knocked down to make way for a mixed use building that will include business and affordable housing.
The Daily Gazette says the building, known as the '...The Link@SoBro will rise four stories and encompass 110 apartments — both one- and two-bedroom units.'The building will feature 110 apartments, and 14 will be set aside for Veterans.' Rents will range from $900 - $1600 and the housing will be geared toward those making $35,000 - $97,000 per year. According to the Gazette article, construction will take almost a year and a half and the building would be ready for tenants in late 2019 or early 2020.
