Northway Bridge Work To Start On Monday

Last year, I had a story about construction on the bridges that carry the Northway over Albany Shaker Road in Colonie, in the Exit 4 area.

Starting on Monday, construction will begin to replace the bridges. The project will start in the medians, and shouldn’t have an effect on traffic. That part of the project will continue until the weather improves.

One thing to be cautious of will be during some off peak hours when there will be some temporary closure of lanes. According to the article from the Times Union, the bridges that are there will be taken down after the new bridges are completed. The project is expected to be completed by Halloween.
