I want to start off by saying that I love Halloween and think that it's a super cool holiday. But I really need the costumes and all the Halloween shenanigans to just wait a minute and slow your roll!

I Couldn't Believe it Was Open!

I was leaving Colonie Center last week and was at the light when I looked up and noticed a gigantic Spirit Halloween store. I thought that it was just the store getting things in order to open in September but I was wrong! The front doors were open and people were shopping for Halloween! Here it is hot and August something yet people are already getting and planning their Halloween costumes?!

Are All of the Spirit Halloween Stores Open?

Doesn't seem that all of the stores are open just yet but there are at least three Halloween stores open in the Capital Region. The one I saw across from Colonie Center, there is one in Saratoga, and in Amsterdam. However, there are several other locations that say they are opening soon.

Don't Get Me Wrong I Love These Stores...

I am one of those people who wants summer to last a bit longer. Fall is my favorite season but I don't want to rush it in. I feel seeing these Halloween stores already open in the middle of August is just, well, WRONG. Please give us the entire summer we deserve, stop trying to make me think of a holiday that is two months away and in a new season.

I guess I will just quote Thomas Rhett and say, "Slow down summer!"

TLC show 'American Chopper' Orange County Choppers Headquarters in Newburgh Abandoned & For Sale

WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.
In 2003, a father-son business reality show hit the Discovery Channel. It was called American Chopper and it followed the custom motorcycle building business of the Teutul family out of Newburgh, NY. Paul Sr. owned the shop with sons Paul Jr and Mikey working in the business. There was a slew of cast and characters. The center of the show wasn't just the amazing custom motorcycles built for celebrities and others, it was the volatile relationship between Sr. and Jr. The show ran for 12 seasons before the two could no longer get along. It ended up in lawsuits and the two not talking for ten plus years. In the past few years, the business moved to Florida. This left the 61,000-square-foot headquarters for sale and abandoned. Take a look at what remains of Ocean County Choppers.
