As this measure was announced in other countries to combat the coronavirus, the Governor's announcement was no surprise today. According to News 10, starting this Friday all New Yorkers will be required to wear a face covering when in public. This will apply in situations where social distancing of 6 feet is not possible.

So what does this mean for you? Basically, when you are close to others and cannot properly distance you need to wear a face covering. It can be a mask or according to News 10 'a cloth covering.' Whatever you use, it must cover your mouth and nose.

As we still need to go out for those necessary items, this is a good idea and will honestly make you feel a little safer as you make your trips to the grocery store for food. And hey, if you go with a cloth covering, you can always have some fun with it.
