An Upstate New Yorker is cashing in big. A $ 5,000-a-week Set For Life New York Lottery scratch-off ticket. Although the winning ticket was purchased at a store on Long Island, the winner is from the Capital Region.

The $10 New York Lottery scratch-off ticket offers multiple opportunities to win a huge amount. But if you scratch off to reveal just one "life" symbol, you win the top prize. $5,000 a week for life.

According to the New York Lottery, the winner is listed as an LLC in Albany County. The Hills Park DBGM Limited Liability Company (LLC) of Albany claimed the $5,000 A Week For Life top prize on the Lottery’s Set For Life scratch-off game.

The winning scratch-off ticket was sold at a King Kullen grocery store at 2305 Jericho Tpke in Hyde Park.

The Hills Park DBGM LLC of Albany chose to take the lump sum prize in a one-time payment of $2,238,986. With a guaranteed $5 million, this was the prize amount after required taxes and withholdings.

In April, a lucky Capital Region resident won $5,000 a week for life on the same Set For Life scratch-off game. The winner was Jessica Terpenning of Cobleskill. She walked into the Stewart's Shop at 526 Highway 20 in Sharon Springs. She revealed the LIFE symbol and cashed in.

She also chose the lump sum after taxes and withholdings to give her a one-time payment of $3,367,702.
