New York's Legoland Theme Park has been in the works for a few years now, and you should be able to visit soon.

It is hard to believe we first heard of the new Legoland theme park all the way back in June of 2016. The park then announced in late 2019 it would open July 4th, 2020. And we all know what happened with that plan. Well, it looks like after 5 years the wait will be over.

According to the website Theme Park Tourist, the park is almost ready to open and says "...it seems likely the park is targeting a late spring or early summer opening window." Theme Park Tourist says this time frame would have them open for "seasonal crowds" and would also time out with much more of the public being vaccinated for COVID.

The new theme park is in Goshen, New York which is about 90 minutes from the Albany area. The park is already selling annual and day passes on their website, and also has information up about booking vacations (Though actually booking a vacation is not an option yet).

If you have kids, Legoland once it opens is going to be a "must-do" for your summer. I have a 7-year-old and 5-year- old at home who love Legos. Looking at all the cool rides and attractions they have already been posting about on their website and on the Legoland New York Facebook page, this is going to be a theme park paradise for the kiddos. I just hope they don't have Legos all over the ground as we have on our floor at home. Those things are painful to step on!
