Mr. Food was a long standing local celebrity in the Albany area, getting his start on WRGB Channel 6 before becoming nationally famous. He was known for his catchphrase "ooh it's so good" and also as the orignator of the 'quick and easy cooking' concept. He'll be missed by many local television viewers.

Mr Food was born in Troy, NY - his real name is Art Ginsburg - and started his career as a butcher until he turned his passion for acting into a television segment in 1975. Mr. Food was heavily involved with many charities including many related to diabetes.

He passed away in Florida at the age of 81, where he was living with his wife Ethel.
