Mistle ‘Toga: Saratoga SantaCon Hoping Festive Pub Crawl Breaks Jolly Old Record
Organizers of the annual Saratoga SantaCon are hoping their event draws a few thousand Santa-wannabees hunting, drinking, and jingling all the way to a new Guinness World Record when their much-anticipated tenth-annual event happens in mid-December.
Saratoga SantaCON is a scavenger hunt (for those 21+), pub crawl, Santa-Fest, and just a fun, festive time in Mistle-Toga. The proceeds will benefit the Franklin Community Center, a local orginazation that proveds basic necessities and services to less fortunate individuals and families in our area.
According to organziers, if enough people come dressed as Kris Kringle, the 10th Annual Saratoga SantaCON could break a Guinness World Record for the Largest Scavenger Hunt in the World which is currently held by Ottawa, Canada with 2,732 participants in 2017.
According to the Saratoga SantaCON event page, here's what you need to know:
- Saratoga SantaCON is happening on Saturday, December 18th.
- Registration is at 12 noon inside The Soundbar, 6 Caroline Street in downtown Saratoga.
- You must be in a festive costume for the city-wide Santa scavenger hunt. Those who participate will go from location to location accomplishing various photo tasks, trivia and scanning hidden QR Codes. All the tasks will have point values and the Santa with the most points will be taking home $1000 in cash.
- You may purchase your $10 ticket here, and organizers are asking that you bring 5 non-perishable food items as a donation that will be collected at the Soundbar. Once all of that is set, you''ll be given your Santa Scavenger Hunt passcode.
