Miley Cyrus Ends Dream Run For Latham Voice Candidate
"Can I call my mom?" Miley Cyrus asks, agonizing over who to keep and who to cut. The Voice 3 coach had a team stacked full of talent and in the end, she sent pint sized powerhouse Moriah Formica from Latham home, ending the 17 year olds run on Season 13 of The Voice.
Latham's Moriah Formica burst onto the scene with her fiery audition a month ago and appeared to be a legit candidate to capture The Voice season 13 title. Those plans were derailed tonight during the "playoff" round when her coach, Miley Cyrus decided that she wouldn't make the cut to Hollywood. It was a difficult choice and one that appeared to upset fans of the budding Latham star. Perhaps she should have used a lifeline and called her mom. In the end, Cyrus advanced Janice Freeman, Brooke Simpson, and Ashland Craft, who will be joining the other nine artists from Team Blake, Team Jennifer and Team Adam in the lives next week.
As for Moriah, perhaps this is the best news. No long term contracts, and no more pressure of performing on a reality show that plays out more like a soap opera than an actual singing competition. It's certainly not the last we'll see or hear from Moriah Formica. She's a real talent.
