Meet Butterflies Event Back in Schenectady

Butterflies are so beautiful but the closer to try to get to them to look, they fly away. Schenectady is bringing back their Butterflies & Blooms event so you not only can get close to butterflies but one may land on you!

Step into the butterfly house and get closer to butterflies than you've ever been before. There's something peaceful and calm about butterflies. Whether it's just the way they fly, how beautiful they are, or how quiet they are, they're just amazing. Thanks to the upcoming butterfly house at Schenectady miSci, you can get closer than ever to them!

Butterflies and Blooms will be coming back the miSci from February 15th until April 19th, according to their Facebook event. They will be hosting a special "After Dark" event on Friday, April 3rd from 6:00-8:00pm. In the house, they will be featuring "Monarchs, Black Swallowtails, Buckeyes, Painted Ladies, Common Buckeyes, Red Admirals and Spicebush Swallowtails."

Last time I went, there were butterflies everywhere and they do a great job at the museum to keep them safe. They may land on your hair, your shoulder, your hand - anywhere. You also get to learn about the entire process in how a butterfly grows. On your way out, just make sure you get checked out, we don't want any to go home with you and get taken away from their butterfly friends!
