Reports are that the man who drove his truck into the Mohawk River earlier this morning did it intentionally. Sadly, his lifeless body was recovered late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Daily Gazette, the body of a 29-year-old Ballston Spa resident was recovered late Tuesday afternoon after crews spent hours trying to extract the vehicle.

The report details that the incident took place at around 11:30 a.m. at Terminal Road, a short road next to the Route 9 Crescent Bridge. The 911 call was from an eyewitness claiming that a man saw an old pickup truck drive into the waters.

Waters are believed to be 12-15 feet deep and visibility is basically 'non-existent' according to Undersheriff Richard Castle.

As crews attempt to reconstruct the scene talking to eyewitnesses, it is believed that the man drove his vehicle into the Mohawk River intentionally. The deceased man's name has not been released, and there aren't any other details about the incident at this time.
