It's only been a few months since she was a finalist on American Idol and then opened up Countryfest and now, you have a chance to see her live and for free today!

"American Idol" alum Madison VanDenburg will be performing a free show hosted by Jeff LaMountain, a Republican candidate for the Albany County Legislature, according to the Times Union.

Both VanDenburg and LaMountain have expressed that this event isn't about politics, but "for the youth in West Albany and South Colonie." The concert will be at West Albany Pocket Park from 12:00pm-3:00pm today.

Along with a performance from VanDenburg, they will be giving away school supplies to students of all ages as well as free haircuts and lunch. They will also be given an award to hometown hero, in memory of Greg Woodward, a deceased marine. His mother will accept the award in his honor.
