If your social media feed is anything like mine, then, you've been seeing ads for the upcoming Luma Festival everywhere. It looked pretty cool based on the video so I decided to do a bit more research on it.

The Luma Festival is in Binghamton, about 2 hours Southwest of Albany, on September 6th and 7th. The way they describe themselves is a Premier Projection Arts Festival, what that means to the rest of us is something visually amazing and nothing like you've ever seen before.

Based on pictures and videos I've seen, it looks like they project not just images on buildings but entire storylines and people just gather around to watch. This is not like watching Ratatouille projected on a building in Downtown Albany (which is great, by the way, love that movie) but more like projecting the movie Avatar where the characters interact with parts of the building.

If you haven't seen this passing through your internet feed and have some free time this weekend, take a look at this. It's not too far and, though I've never been before, it sounds like something you won't forget!
