I'm currently in the process of moving, and it's a lot. There's a ton of furniture I won't be bringing with me, and the process of getting rid of it seems to be harder than just moving it.

It's times like these that you have to rely on bulk pickup, but it's never an easy thing to schedule. Until now...

Free Bulk Pickup

For the first time since the 1990s, the City of Troy will be bringing back free at-home bulk pickup. This means if you've got any large items that you need to throw away, Troy sanitation will take care of it at no extra charge.

If your property receives City of Troy sanitation collection services, you're eligible for the pickup. You must place your items on the curb before your scheduled day, ensure they're not blocking roadways, sidewalks, utility poles, or fire hydrants, and keep your pickup in a six foot by six foot (6' x 6') pile. You can find a list of acceptable and prohibited items HERE.
